AXS™
AXS™ is the new Sram component integration system that connects the electronic components of the bicycle to the application. LThe Sram AXS™ App allows cyclists to see the battery charge level, change behavior and customize shifting controls, as well as receive maintenance reminders and download app updates.
Orbit™
Orbit™ is an innovative technology for controlling the movement of the gear shift. It uses a silicon-based liquid within an elegant and ultra-light hydraulic clutch system. Unlike mechanical shifting, Orbit™ technology does not cause any additional resistance to the shifting spring during slow or light movement. This makes it easier to change gear and remove the rear wheel. While driving, the hydraulic clutch system limits the movements of the chain. With maximum reliability and optimal chain tension for 2x and 1x systems.
X-Sync
Sram X-Sync 1x technology ensures the highest level of performance and durability. The teeth of the chainrings and pulleys with the X-Sync profile, high and square, allow optimal and always constant chain retention compared to chainrings and pulleys that use the classic triangle-shaped tooth profile. To ensure perfect performance even in muddy conditions, the X-Sync chainrings and pulleys have been designed with special compartments for Lself-cleaning from mud.
eTap®
All the technology used for the Sram Red eTap groupset such as wireless shifting, the advanced battery management system and mechatronics are all designed with a single objective: to make shifting as easy, intuitive and effective as possible. This shifting system is called eTap. The right lever makes it harder, the left one softer, both levers act on the front derailleur. Simple, foolproof and intuitive.
