Technologies

Powerlock
SRAM engineers developed Powerlock® as a safe and easy way to connect the two ends of the chain. Powerlock® does not require special installation tools, but the particularly restricted tolerances of 10, 11 and 12 speed transmissions require that each Powerlock® is used for a single application only.

Flattop
To put X-Range ™ technology alive, Sram had to develop a narrower chain. The exclusive shape of the Flattop ™ mesh not only made it possible to expand the range of gears, but also to make the functioning of the transmission more silent and increase the resistance and duration of the chain.
